 AGM / Reunion Lunch

A total of 41 members and guests attended the Annual Meeting and lunch at the RACV Club in 2023, a similar number to 2022.

The cost per head of the AGM / reunion lunch increased to just over $96 per head. The Association continues to substantially subsidise the cost of attending this event. The AGM cost of $2257 shown in the Income and Expenditure Summary does not include two deposits paid in the second half of 2022, the actual cost of the 2023 AGM was $3944.50.

Subscriptions & Donations

Membership of the Association has gone down slightly, currently 101 members, with 91 being financial at 31/12/2023. Following our policy, members who had not paid subscriptions for two years were removed from the membership roll. Subscriptions allow the Association to continue to maintain our website, subsidise the AGM lunch, produce Take Post and cover most of our other operating expenses. Some very generous donations during 2023 helped the Association to replace the commemorative plaque at Werribee Racecourse and hold a very successful unveiling ceremony.

Website

The significant website costs in 2023 related mainly to the rebuilding of the site on the WordPress platform, although this was almost entirely offset by a Federal Government grant through the DVA.
