Regiment Officers
The 2/3rd Australian Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment was comprised of three Batteries when it was raised – the 7th, 8th and 9th Batteries.
When it was initially raised, the Regiment was commanded by Lt. Col. John W Rhoden with Capt. AF Young as Adjutant, Capt. Alan Michaelis as the Quartermaster and Capt. PG Hayes as the RMO.
The Officers Commanding of each Battery were:
- 7th Battery Major JA Hipworth
- 8th Battery Major PW Stokes
- 9th Battery Major CL Hughes-Hallet
- Signals Lieutenant NW Traynor
- Workshop Lieutenant CR Massina
In addition to Captains AF Young and PG Hayes, a further three Captains were assigned to the Regiment. They were:
Capt. BA Baglin (7), Capt. FH Jorgensen (8) and Capt. AG Margetts (9).
